1.2 Feature

1.2.1 Planning System

1.2.1.1 BPS
The Berth Planning System (BPS) is used to assist berth planner in allocating berthing space and quay cranes to vessels calling at a port, consequently generating a berthing plan for these vessels, aid the planner in monitoring the berth resources.

Berth Allocation
This module assists the planner in assigning berth space and quay cranes to vessels calling at the port.
Performing safety checks on berth plan
This module automatically performs safety checks on vessels when a berth is allocated to the vessel
Crane and wharf restrictions
This module provides the planner a simple way to mark out berth space or quay cranes that can not be used.
Generation of reports
This module generates berth charts and other reports, such as berth utilization, berth working summary and etc.
Monitoring of berth situation
This module receives update of berth allocation and berth application that will impact the berth plan.
1.2.1.2 SPS
The Stowage Planning System (SPS) is a user-friendly, color-graphic system designed as a highly productive tool to assist ship planner in expediting the planning of stowage of container ships calling at the container terminal.

Define Vessel Static
This module is used to capture all data that reflect the static aspects of the vessel, such as vessel structure, vessel class, bay details and etc.
Import Dynamic Data
This module is used to capture all data that reflect the dynamic aspects of the vessel; it imports the EBP (Electronic Bay Plan) and port sequence.
Mark Stowage
This module is used to assist the ship planner to make graphical marking for discharge and load stowage on the cell plan.
Generate Crane Job Sequence
This module is used to allocate yard cranes for specified vessel voyage, devise the planned starting/ending job times for quay cranes and also generate load/discharge stowage job sequences. The system supports twinlift operation.
Stowage
This module supports both automatic and manual stowage modes. In automatic mode, system will proceed with automatic stowage according to stowage principles, export container information in accordance of marking for export stowage and allocated job sequence.
Compute vessel trim & stability
This module provides an efficient and user friendly tool for trim and stability calculations of the selected vessel/voyage.
Generation of Reports
This module provides facilities for ship planners to view and print various reports and summaries of the selected vessel/voyage, including yard shuffling, bay summary, crane sequence reports and etc.
1.2.1.3 YPS
The Yard Planning System (YPS) is used to assist the yard planner to manage the container yard with multiple objectives of reducing yard shifting, improving equipment/yard utilization and eventually improving vessel turnaround.

Yard Profile Management
This module is the first stage of yard planning and concerns the management of physical/logical yard blocks.
Macro Plan
This module concerns the reservation of import/export yard cluster for vessels.
Micro Plan
This module concerns the assignment of yard ranges/location to containers based on the user-defined breakdown rule (such as, port, size, category, weight and etc).
Depot Planning
This module concerns assignment of yard ranges/location to the storage containers.
Post Planning
This module concerns generation of yard ranges and sending them to operation systems.
Exception Management
This module assists yard planner to detect and examine system exception on a real-time basis such as container information amendment, berth information modification and emergency gate-in container information and etc.
Generation of reports
This module concerns various types of reports to assist the yard planner, including: macro plan report, micro plan report and yard utilization report, etc.
1.2.1.4 RPS
The Resource Planning System (RPS) is used to schedule the yard equipment, wharf equipment, prime mover and manpower resources as well.

Yard Resource Plan
This module assists planner to schedule the yard equipment, assign prime movers, specify the job priority and assign the manpower
Wharf Resource Plan
This module assists planner to schedule the quay crane and assign prime movers.
1.2.2 Operation System

GOS (Gate Operation System)
The GOS mainly concerns on container delivery and reception for both automatic and manual modes.
YOS (Yard Operation System)
The YOS mainly concerns on container offloading/mounting operations. It also allows the operator to shift the containers to other yard block/slot.
WOS (Wharf Operation System)
The WOPS mainly concerns on container discharging/loading/shifting on vessel.
RFMS (Reefer Management System)
The RFMS mainly concerns on reefer container plug/unplug and inspection operations.
CFS (Container Freight Station)
The CFS mainly concerns on container stuffing/unstuffing operations.
ROS (Railway Operation System)
The ROS mainly concerns on railway container discharging/loading operations.
CCI (Container Custom Inspection)
The CCI mainly concerns on container custom inspection operations.
1.2.3 Control Center
The control center system is visualization system at Container Terminal Control Room monitor all activities taking place at various locations in the operational areas and timely alerts of operational bottlenecks.

Terminal Map
This module provides graphical interfaces that allow control room staff to browser at vessel, quay crane and yard information, and also real-time refreshes for the sketch map.
Yard Map
This module allows control room staff to browse at yard logical map and zoon in on the yard map. It helps to locate yard block, yard equipment and prime mover quickly.
Monitor Yard Block
This module allows viewing detailed information for yard jobs and equipment tasks in any block in a graphical mode.
Monitor Instruction
This module allows viewing the overtime instructions and the amount of uncompleted yard jobs. It also allows undo discharging/loading operations.
Monitor Yard Equipment
This module allows informing yard equipment to change position and monitor yard jobs that have not been assigned equipments, and showing the work status of each yard equipment.
Monitor Quay Crane
This module allows viewing crane status and other detailed information. It can pause/restart crane job, adjust a single task in crane sequence and job sequence.
Monitor Prime Mover
This module allows viewing the prime movers that are in congestion and in waiting state. There is also PMPC module to display the instructions to the prime mover drivers to inform the destination and corresponding yard equipments.
Monitor Vessel
This module allows viewing the vessel information, confirm the berth/unberth status of the vessel.
Yard Shifting Plan
This module allows planning the shifting and system can automatically allocate equipment and locations.
1.2.4 Billing
The billing system assists the billing staff to compute service charges payable by terminal customers according to the operation types and information.
